Perhentian Islands

Perhentian consists of two islands, namely Pulau Perhentian Besar and Pulau Perhentian Kecil. This Island is known as the best place for snorkeling in Malaysia, do it right in front of your resort. You can swim, snorkeling, playing at the beach and kayaking for the whole day. And one of the most beautiful things about the Perhentian Islands is that there are no roads at all, which means there’s also no major development. The island and coral are relatively unspoiled and popular stopping off point for tourist exploring Malaysia and this part of Asia. Play and walk on the soft and white sand with much-broken corals in places.

George Town

Kuala Lumpur

The mountainous island of volcanic origin is famous for the spectacular view tourists enjoy at the peak of the island. The island is home to species such as coral reefs, turtles, barracudas and eagle rays. A shallow channel separates the island from Bodhgaya which is the biggest island in the Tun Sakaran Marine Park. The crater that forms the Bohey Dulang is presently covered with seawater which creates a large lagoon that reaches 25 meters deep. The southern part of the lagoon is open and shallow.Bohey Dulang Island is nicknamed as Pearl Island, as the island used to be a pearl farming centre.

Batu Caves

Basically a limestone hill, Batu Caves is located almost 13 km away from the capital city. Even the novice can also try their hand at rock climbing with the help of local trainers here. There is a large statue of the Hindu God at the entrance, and this is the main attraction for tourists. Besides a steep 272 climb up its steps to finally view the stunning skyline of the city center. It is very much popular among the top places to visit in Malaysia, for adventure enthusiasts.

Batu Caves

It is the beautiful island of Pulau Redang lies about 45 km north-northeast of Kuala Terengganu, or 22 km off Tanjung Merang, the closest point on the mainland. It has a tropical climate with temperatures steadily around 30 °C (86 °F) and frequent but brief thunderstorms. This island is one of nine islands, which form a marine sanctuary park offering snorkeling and diving opportunities for tourists. Like the other part of Malaysia’s east coast, Redang is also affected by the northeast monsoon from the South China Sea, so most resorts are closed and ferry transport schedules are severely restricted between October and March. Many of their descendants are now working the tourist trade in Redang while others have moved to the mainland.
Over the years, It has grown to be one of the most popular destinations for tourists and divers due to its pristine nature and rich marine environment. This island is very beautiful also it is famous for its crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and the tropical fish that inhabit the numerous reefs, many within 50 feet of the shore. In comparison to the neighboring Perhentian Islands, Redang Island has a more upmarket image, as almost all accommodation on the island is resort-based.
